It’s hard to imagine science fiction literature, movies, or TV shows depicting virtual but also real-life and processed in an open environment. This world is almost utopian. We have exciting news from the world of technology to share with you.
On Tuesday, Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced his Metaverse virtual reality universe project.
This isn’t a new idea. So, what is the situation? Why do we want to virtualize and alternate our reality?
New World
Consider a virtual world. A universe where games, discussions, and negotiations are possible. Isn’t this similar to the VR scenario we’re all familiar with? We should also consider Augmented Reality (AR). Of course, in the internet age, we need extra security. And this is where blockchain technology comes into play. Virtual reality glasses and other similar hardware components may also use to provide a seamless experience. We will have a rare chance when all of these factors align. People will be able to see it because the real and virtual worlds will merge. Things found in the real world that can be digitized or found on the internet in 2D will moved to a digital world in 3D.
As stated previously, another example is in business.
Consider the remote working order, which gained relevance and popularity due to the pandemic and is still used by some businesses today. Some businesses operate entirely remotely, while others remain hybrid. They prefer this arrangement because the advancement and strengthening of technology and infrastructure creates a favorable environment. Assume the Metaverse effect has been applied here. Virtual reality technology will enable conference participation and dialogue with virtual avatars. These avatars will help people better represent themselves.
The entertainment industry will also see significant advancements. World-renowned singers will hold online concerts that people can attend using their virtual avatars as if they were in the audience. Online courses will evolve in a similar way in education.
Come soon
What we’re saying is happening in different areas right now, but will be working together soon.
But if this Metaverse scenario happens, what we do in the games will affect our real-life existence. There will be positive as well as negative effects.
